Mindful Meditation

A Robot Loving Itself

Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit where you won't be disturbed. Sit comfortably with your back supported if possible.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a moment, and then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Bring your attention to your breath. Notice the sensation of the breath as it enters and exits your body. Observe how your chest and belly rise and fall with each inhale and exhale.

Try to stay focused on your breath for the entire meditation, but if your mind wanders, simply observe the distraction and gently bring your focus back to your breath.

After a few minutes, you can begin to focus on the present moment. Start to observe your surroundings and pay attention to the sounds, sensations, and emotions in your body.

As you continue to meditate, try to maintain an attitude of curiosity and non-judgment. Be kind and compassionate to yourself as you notice any thoughts or emotions that arise.

To end the meditation, take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.

You can practice this mindfulness meditation for as long as you like, but a good starting point is to practice for 5-10 minutes per day, and gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable with the practice.
